Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor

 

I found diaries from 2000/2001 (when I was 10/11) and was cry-laughing while reading. I often ended entries in “got to go”. There were some that I started only to end because my bus stop had come up. I also “named” one of my diaries (a Harry Potter-themed journal) Draco. 

(December 27th, 2000)

[…] I’m going to name you so I’ll call you….Draco. It means dragon-flight, and yes I know he’s a bad guy in Harry Potter but it’s a cool name. Got to go.

In one entry I complained about my youngest brother taking more jam than he was allowed to take. Life.

(PS all of them are written in gel pen. REMEMBER HOW COOL THOSE WERE. My Harry Potter journal only had black paper so you HAD to use gel pens.)

  3. g-nomey said: GEL PENS! i was too poor to buy real gel pens in those days so i only had the cruddy ones that blocked up straight away. also had ones that were ~swirled~ so the colour changed! and i had a gel pen journal that is just about how i hate my sister.

  14. estelio said: Gel-pens, yes. Also, you had told fold it intricately into a flickable shape. Messages were required to being with “what’s up?” with an arrow for the up.
